But it’s all rather slick, manipulative and conventional and ends without mentioning the annual cost of medication for one patient.

Almost each one of us who was/is of the "marriageable" age has encountered at least one well-meaning distant relative who thinks we are the most eligible. The one who takes it upon themselves to find you the perfect life-partner. Well, To Baat Pakki is about one such lady, Rajeshwari (Tabu). No, she's not the eligible one, she's the dreaded relative. Her existence seems to revolve around finding the perfect groom for her little sister. There's lots of room for comedy, but only a tinee-winee bit is explored.
The rating of course, clearly that there isn't much to look forward to in To Baat Pakki but the main character, Rajeshwari fascinated me. Of course, she is the standard, ultra-involved, annoying meddler. But, she is still the older sister. So, though it's never too obviously stated, you see a very heavy tinge of gray in her character. She wants for her sister what she could never get. She wants to live vicariously through her. Maybe, that's what most of those distant relatives mean to do using us, and that is exactly what makes them uber-irritating.
Except for a couple of the performances. Tabu must be one of the very few women who can pull of comic timing elegantly. She seems just perfect in the role. Interestingly, though age has taken its toll with the lady and she isn't half as engaging to look at as she used to be, this seems to have worked to the character's advantage.

When you speak about ‘Horror’ films, it’s all about a ghostly figure with long hairs and gaudy white sari. They’re just unavoidable and tend to be strict factors of prototyped horrendous movies. ‘Click’ isn’t an elision as it involves such attributes and indeed astonishes at certain points.
‘CLICK’ is an exact replication of Thai film ‘Shutter’ that was later remade in Hollywood with the same title. On the face of it, our South Indian filmmakers refashioned it in Tamil and Telugu, which weren’t so fascinating (Tamil remake was titled as ‘Sivi’) as western variants. Incisively, ‘Click’ isn’t rather impressive just like the other desi versions.
Though, the film has perfect screenplay, it drops us down with uninterestingly scary moments. What’s the reason? Obviously, the Thai film was made nearly 6 years back and the same old narration doesn’t suit for the contemporaneous audiences.
Sangeeth Sivan could’ve assigned Sandeep Chowta himself to score music as Shamir stumbles on every number. Nonetheless, Sandeep could’ve yet more delivered a powerful background score that would’ve doubtlessly added-up more to the horripilations.
On whole, ‘Click’ offers a good entertainment, especially for horror buffs if they haven’t watched ‘Shutter’. But, it’s worth mentioning that a horror lover wouldn’t have missed checking it. Anyways, ‘Click’ can be watched once as it proves to be a passable show.

That doesn’t take away from the effectiveness of the film — it is damned powerful, and by the end everyone in the theater was balling their eyes out. But don’t say I didn’t warn you — the film perfectly captures and brings the audience along on the ultimate misery extravaganza, and how often are we in the mood to watch that?

Unlike those other two books, however, Shutter Island is psychological drama that is far deeper and more complex. The challenge facing screenwriter Laeta Kalogridis was how to take all the psychological components of the story and balance them with the pulp mystery narrative that most viewers are expecting.
The actors in the film faced the same challenges. DiCaprio, Kingsley and Ruffalo in particular had a tough time of it. The nature of the story required each of the principal actors to turn in a multi-layered performance of a depth they probably weren’t expecting until they actually got on set and started filming.

Shutter Island was originally planned to be released on October 2, 2009, but pushed the release date to February 19, 2010.

For whatever reason, the movie decides to settle for watchable mediocrity. The movie is never boring or terrible, but, again, the movie never really lives up to its potential.

Surya grows up as a skilled carrom player in the ghetto of Malvani, a Mumbai suburb which has remained free from communal tension, until December 1992. Chasing his dreams to lead a life free from crime, Surya watches his idyllic locality fall apart to the greed of local goons who are in league with corrupt cops. He fights back.
The high point of the film is its authenticity, its heartwarming tale and its performances. Siddharth's Surya is a fine follow-up act to his Rang De Basanti's new age revolutionary. Others to watch out for are Aditya Pancholi who reinvents himself as the local goon, Ankur Vikal, as Zaid, the spaced-out bird on a wire, Vidya Malvade as the understanding elder sister and Padmapriya, the tart with a heart.

But the Shah Rukh-Kajol movie may not be seen in Mumbai if the Shiv Sena has its way.Film distributor Shringar Films has reportedly written to Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray, saying it will not release My Name Is Khan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, unless he clears it. Officially, the release date remains February 12.
Bollywood super star Shah Rukh Khan said enacting the character of an autistic person in My Name is Khan was a challenge for him. "I think it is a very new and difficult concept. I play Rizwan Khan, a person suffering from autism. I prepared well for the role. I hope I have done well."

This film stars Nitin and Hansika Motwani.

Chandrashekhar Reddy called as Chandu (Nitin) is a fearless guy who loves to tackle the problems with wits and guts and is pursuing MCA in Gurunanak Group of Institutions. He falls instantly in love with Nandini cutely called as Nandu(Hansika). Here comes the villain Veera Pratap Reedy (Panda) who is all in a hurry to marry Nandini and make a family. He has an uncle Shiva Reddy (Jayaprakash Reddy) and cruel father Pratapa Reddy (Raj Premi), who kidnap Nandini and bring her to Allagadda. Chandu who loves to face the problems is decided to go Allagadda (That is Lanka) and marry Nandu before villain Veera Pratap Reddy (That is Ravanasura). In this battle of wits, how did Risk Rambo (Ali), Appalaraju & Pappalaraju (Brahmi) and Bujji, Made in Bhimavaram(Subbaraju) help Chandu and Nandu (Lord Rama and Seetha) forms the rest of the story.

To be honest (like the film demands), Rann is not a new story but the news battle setting saves it from getting run-of-the-mill. Rather than a story designed around the media world, Rann is more of the clichéd corrupt politician chronicle (that Bollywood has been narrating since ages) set on the backdrop of the broadcasting business. In fact the basic scenario of drama for this Ram Gopal Varma film comes close to his own Sarkar through the trio of a principled patriarch (Amitabh Bachchan), his debauched son (Sudeep) and the righteous and more deserving descendant (Riteish Deshmukh). Rann tries to be too idealistic right from its ethical news channel head Vijay Harshvardhan Malik (Bachchan) to the trustworthy politician (K K Raina), all of which have become rare species in real life. Malik's concerns are correct as he believes in reporting news in an era when every rival channel is resorting to creating news. Son Jai Malik (Sudeep) is disillusioned with father's morals that are leading their channel nowhere. As commercial corruption seeps in, Jai, through the medium of his channel, conspires against the ruling Prime Minister to make way for the opposition leader Mohan Pandey (Paresh Rawal). While Vijay is oblivious to the entire conspiracy, his channel's lead reporter Purab (Riteish) takes it upon himself to investigate the truth. Rann starts off impressively, right from its opening credits, showing contemporary newsreel montages edited to a spooky effect, more symbolic of RGV's horror flicks. The idea is to highlight the real horror that's haunting humans - sensationalism by media houses. The commercialism of coverage is effectively portrayed in a scene where a news channel anchor (Rajpal Yadav) confides in a feature filmmaker (Gul Panag) saying they are doing the same job - making movies and entertaining the audience. Especially hilarious is the sequence emphasizing media's selective hearing approach where facts are cut out on the editing table for formula. But the authentic setting can't camouflage the conventionalism in the storytelling. Though writer Rohit Banawlikar pens some intense dramatic sequences which are deftly directed by Ram Gopal Varma, Rann relies on a very predictable plot. The treatment is suggestive of several Madhur Bhandarkar films from Corporate to Satta and the climactic twist clearly comes close to that of Page 3 . Further the film opts for the most conservative and convenient culmination with a sting operation in the climax.
